This larger perennial will grow to 6' tall and has small, light green leaves with yellow-mustard colored flowers that bloom in winter and spring. Cut-back to within 6" of the ground to refresh and reduce the size of the plant in summer. A riot of color.

Chinese Pistache

Common name:Chinese Pistache

Solving Runoff Problems

Importance of Watershed

A watershed is a land area that drains rain and other water into a creek, river, lake, wetland, or groundwater aquifer. Water from your neighborhood also enters the watershed through the storm drain system and flows directly to local creeks without any treatment. It often is contaminated by pollutants that can be toxic to fish, wildlife, and people.

Soils and Compost:

Maintain a two to four inch layer of mulch on the soil surface to reduce weeds, infiltrate rain water, and reduce compaction.

Integrated Pest Management:

Drip and other smart irrigation delivers water directly to roots, allowing no excess water for weeds.
