Description
This perennial is native to the Southwest USA, in canyons and wet areas. It tolerates full to part sun. However it does best in light shade with well draining soil and regular watering (every 3-7 days). Foliage is bright green. Large yellow flowers appear in spring on thin stems above foliage. Butterflies, bees and hummingbirds are attracted to this plant. Deer and rabbit resistant. Over time, it will naturalize. It can reach 36" tall and 18" wide. Both flower and foliage are fragrant.
