Fragaria 'Pink Panda'
Pink Panda Ornamental Strawberry
Description
Fragaria 'Pink Panda' is a groundcover that grows 4"-8" high and spreads about a foot. The tiny pink flowers with yellow centers bloom from spring to fall. The glossy, dark green leaves have 3 tooth-edged leaflets that turn reddish in the winter. This attractive ground cover does best in full sun but not in areas with hot summers, as leaves will burn. After flowering, small red strawberries may appear but only occasionally, attracting birds. This ground cover does best in fertile, well draining, moist soil. It looks great in garden windows, in hanging baskets, among rocks, in borders.
