'Iceberg' Rose is a brilliant clear white variety of shrub rose.

Coral Bells

Botanical name:Heuchera sanguinea

Tufts of round leaves 2-3" wide with scalloped edges accent this plant. It also produces wiry stems to 24" tall with open clusters of red/pink, bell-shaped flowers.

Bearded Iris

This perennial will grow 1-3' tall and has medium-size blue/green leaves with wonderful flowers that come in a variety of colors.

Globe Gilia

Common name:Globe Gilia
Botanical name:Gilia capitata

Globe Gilia is an annual. Grows 8-30 in. tall, to 8 in. wide. Pale blue to violet-blue flowers with blue pollen are carried in dense, 1/2 -1.5 in. wide clusters that look like pincushions. Generally blooms in spring through summer.

Sustainable Fertilization

If you mulch heavily as recommended in the compost and mulch fact sheets you should not need traditional fertilization. Sustainable landscapes fertilize themselves as soil organisms break down and recycle the dropped leaves into nutrients.
