Botanical name:Lantana 'New Gold'
This reliable groundcover/shrub blooms periodically throughout the year with gold colored flowers. Blooms attract butterflies. Lantana forms a dark green mound up to 18" tall and 3' wide. It prefers deep, infrequent watering and occasional pruning. It may suffer from frost damage but it recovers quickly. It is root hardy and susceptible to whiteflies.

Exhibiting erect growth, this evergreen shrub grows to a height of 6'. The leaves are 4-10" long, with 5-9 very spiny-tooted, oval, leaflets that are 1 1/2" in length.

Botanical name:Cistus hybridus
This is a small evergreen shrub with 2 in. long gray-green crinkly leaves. It has pure white flowers with prominant yellow stamens . It is produced throughout the spring to early summer. Avoid heavy mulches. Also sold as Cistus corbariensis.
In the natural world the endless cycle of birth, growth, decay, death and rebirth flows throughout the seasons. Plants die, leaves fall and new growth springs up in its place. Nothing is lost and the fallen leaves and dead plants decay into the soil, enriching it for the next generation of growth.
