Common name:Chinese Pistache
Botanical name:Pistacia chinensis

The Pistacia chinensis is a deciduous tree with broad, spreading growth to 50' in height. Its leaves have 10-16 leaflets, and the fall coloring arrives in beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow. The young trees are often gawky, but some become shapely with age. Berries on female trees, when pollinated, are messy.

The 'Gracillimus' is a taller variety, often growing to 6-8' tall with delicate feathery plumes and very thin graceful leaves. It should receive sun to part shade, and average to little summer watering. -Monterey Bay Nursery M

Goldfink Coreopsis

Common name:Goldfink Coreopsis
Botanical name:Coreopsis grandilfora 'Goldfink'

A dwarf form of the common Coreopsis, the 'Goldfink' grows to a height of 2'. It bars single deep yellow flowers that are banded maroon in the center. -Monterey Bay Nursery

Zebra Grass

Common name:Zebra Grass
Botanical name:Miscanthus sinensis 'Zebrinus'

This grass can grow up to 6' in height and 3-4 feet in width. This variety has a white stripe on the leaf traveling horizontally.

Quartz Creek Rush

Common name:Quartz Creek Rush
Botanical name:Juncus effusus pac. 'Quartz Creek'

This selection of a vibrant green reed is widely used in landscapes due to its carefree nature and rigid upright structure. This Juncus initially grows very rapidily and then slows to eventually clump to 36" wide. It will reach a height of approximately 24-36". Reguires fairly regular water in the warmer months to perform well.
