Botanical name:Anigozanthos flavidus 'Tall Red'

Anigozanthos flavidus 'Tall Red' is a perennial with dark green, smooth, swordlike evergreen leaves. Produces spikes of striking, fuzy, tubular flowers in yellow-green tinged with red that are curved at the tips. The flowers attract hummingbirds. Flowers bloom from late spring to fall if spent flowering spikes are cut to the ground. Makes for a good cut flower.

Blackbird Spurge is a compact bushy dark purple evergreen foliage even darker if in full sun. Upper bracts of Euphorbia Blackbird are bright yellow-green in spring in glorious contrast to the dark foliage. Makes a good container specimen. Valuable for hot dry sites, these Mediterranean natives know how to take the heat. The more sun the deeper the foliage color. Remarkably adaptable.

This dwarf looking, reliable perennial reaches 1' tall and 6" wide. Leaves are blue green, 1" wide, slightly stiff. Pale blue flowers emerge from the center in spring, followed by dark blue berries. It forms clumps and slowly spreads. This plant tolerates full to part sun, ocean spray, well draining, fertile, acidic soil. It is wind tolerant also. This plant looks great in rock gardens and borders.
