This fast-growing, coniferous evergreen is capable of reaching a size of 80' high by 40' wide. Its needle show a light, slilvery green color.

The deer grass is a warm season perennial that forms dense clumps from the base. The spike like flower stalks grow 2-3 ft. tall and this grass has striking foundation form. The deer grass is native to California, is drought tolerant, and is a beneficial insect plant. -Cornflower Farms

Yankee Point California Lilac

Botanical name:Ceanothus griseus hor. 'Yankee Point'

'Yankee Point' is a fast growing shrub that stays near 3 ft. in height with a spread of 6'. It has large bright green leaves and light blue flowers. It is great for banks and mass plantings. It does well on the coast and in hot inland areas. It attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and beneficial insects. - Cornflower Farms

Santa Barbara Daisy

Botanical name:Erigeron karvinskianus 'Profusion'

This herbacious perennial quickly grows to 1' tall and 3' wide. White daisy-like flowers with gold centers bloom heavily in spring and fall in the low desert but in higher elevations, bloomtime is only during the summer. The foliage is hairy and gray green. It does better in light shade if planted in the low desert. This plant attracts butterflies. It looks great in rock gardens, crevices, on walls, borders, containers, hanging baskets. It tolerates sand and wind; it does best with well draining, moist soil.

Pacific Wax Myrtle

Botanical name:Myrica californica

This large shrub/tree can reach 30' tall and has glossy, dark green leaves with purple nutlets that attract birds. Used very effectively as a screen.

Howard McMinn Manzanita

Common name:Howard McMinn Manzanita
Botanical name:Arctostaphylos densiflora 'Howard McMinn

This shrub is highly appreciated for its decorative characteristics, which include a dense show of small, pale pink, urn-shaped flowers. Above all, it is the mahogany-red to brown bark (which peels beautifully) that is the major attraction. Its fruit resembles the tike apple, and the flowers contrast perfectly to the light green leaf (which can get rather tough). It blooms from late winter to spring. - Cornflower Farms

Margarita Foothill Penstemon

Common name:Margarita Foothill Penstemon
Botanical name:Penstemon heterophyllus 'Margarita Bop'

Another one of the easiest and most versatile California native plants. This is a hybrid penstemon; will produce beautiful purple/blue flowers through much of the year when spent flowers are removed. Foliage grows in low growing mats to 6-8"H x 12-18"W.

Coast  Live Oak

Botanical name:Quercus agrifolia

The coast live oak is and evergreen round-headed tree. It can reach 15-40 ft. high and 20 ft. wide and grows very well from the coastal areas to the interior valleys. It is native to California, is drought tolerant, and attracts butterflies. -Cornflower Farms
